2 and 3 October - Things have been
pretty quiet in the fossil preparation research
laboratory, adjacent to the Geology Museum, since
Professor R. Ewan Fordyce, "Geology's
paleontological powerhouse," passed away in
2023.

Hakataramea is a rural village in
southern Canterbury, 60 km west of Waimate on the
north bank of the Waitaki River. Odontocetes
are toothed whales including dolphins.
