Mudflats at Portobello
30 September - Late afternoon trip to Portobello.
Neptune's Necklace (Hormosiri banksii).
Several hundred seagulls had congregated.
The low sun cast a high contrast light on the mudflat  Looking at the above photo afterwards I discovered a couple of footprints visible in the mud.
Shellfish clustered in the pool of water around a rock.
