Sandymount plus Sandfly Bay
11 October - A trip with Jacob and Olivia of the OUTC out the Sandymount Track [DOC] provided expansive views.  We had a relatively late start due to the long drive out there, arriving around 11 o'clock.  On the way in the light was really nice and the area around Hooper's Inlet is very scenic, but I refrained from asking for photo stops.  By the time we arrived at the start of the trail the light had hazed over a bit.  The Sandymount Track theoretically gets to Sandfly Bay, but we lost the route and retraced our steps, instead driving to get to the beach.

The area around Hooper's Inlet is very scenic.
A fine day for tramping.
