Taieri River Track                                                                                   

I joined a small group with Otago Tramping and Mountaineering Club for a tramp on the Taieri River Track, 35 km south of Dunedin.  The trail did have ups and downs.  Although the John Bull Gully picnic area was closed following the wind storm of a few weeks ago, there were excellent views and the weather was fine.
In addition to such small plants by the side of the trail, interesting plants included some very tall tree ferns, lancewoods, and much more.
