Final result (fourth glaze firing).  The cylinder looks good and has a more even glaze coat; previous glazing attempts show through adding interest.
The third glazing attempt produced patchiness; some areas were glazed and glossy, and others not.  Gave it one more reglaze with more Temmoku.
(Result of first reglaze not shown).  A third glazing attempt with more seaweed brown plus Temmoku Gold.
Trying a reglaze with the seaweed brown (clear plus iron oxide) and iron oxide solution (1g:15g water).
After the initial glazing, it looked junky.
Locke diagnosed that the clay was vitrified.  I looked into options such as ink, paint, or gluing on sand, but decided to attempt glazing.  I applied red iron oxide solution (1g:15g water), and a bit of the brown seaweed glaze.
The cylinder ready for bisque firing.  I was planning to raku it.  The kiln failed and reached Cone 6 temperatures, and the clay was vitrified.
