Very pleased with the colour, but the bubbling, mostly on the top part, is not good.  I had not mixed the stain for the top part well enough, and a streak of dark green came out of the sprayer, which I then tried to cover up by applying more coats.
Underneath turned out unremarkable.
Holdfast with three other of my works plus one by someone else in the kiln ready for the Cone 6 firing.
20 May - Locke holds the seaweed holdfast, which was sitting on my desk for months and which I finally glazed.  I sprayed it starting with White Iris plus yellow stain on the base and then with more green and gray (brown) at the top [seaweed].
Holdfast 2.  Extended drying for several days including under plastic overnight.
Holdfasts 1 and 2.

Locke recommended two glazes based on Locke's Clear—a yellow green and a reddish brown—sprayed on in layers.

3 March - Made the glazes and prepared test tiles.
9 March - The glaze apparently was not stirred enough.  Remade it and added more light green (from 1g to 2.5g).
16 March - The yellow in the yellow green is too saturated.  Added additional 7g zirconium silicate plus a touch of dark green stain.
