View from the Route 18 bus to Portobello.
Asking at the store, I found out that the walk is 5.8 km each way.  Despite the distance and the threat of rain I started out. 
I tried to catch a ride, but this car, which was making considerable speed, was full.
The route goes along Hooper's Inlet and provides views of Hereweka/Harbor Cone (>).
