Off the Chevron El Segundo Refinery  ...back >
On a May 9, 2024 visit to the Hyperion Water Reclamation Plant there were two ships offshore serving the nearby Chevron El Segundo Refinery.
The Artemis Voyager is a crude oil tanker, overall length 274 meters and width 48 meters, built in 2020 and sailing under the Bahamas flag.  It left on May 11 headed for Tanjung Pelepas in Malaysia.  Note that in addition to the two pilot boats shown, there was a third one off to the right. 
The Utah Voyager is a chemical/oil products tanker, overall length 186 meters and width 32 meters, built in 2017 and sailing under the U.S. flag. Note the lines holding the ship in place.
